a little weekend wonderful

                                         John Minshaw Designs

Award winning architect and designer, John Minshaw says "My style is to buy good antiques and design bespoke cabinetry, then put them into pared-down interiors." I feel that it's the way he designs around the light and layers colour that also creates such a powerful narrative. Just extraordinary. I love his work.

(This post is inspired by an image I found on The Diversion Project - thank  you, Jules!)

  1. Great colour combinations. I would never put brown and navy next to one another but it actually works. x

  2. I know what you mean; I think it really depends on the undertones, although, I'll tell you a little secret: I don't like the colour purple - you know 'court jester purple'? Can't stand it. But these colours work because of the yellow and grey undertones. Love it.

  3. Another pretty round mirror...All of these pictures are beautiful. I'm coveting that kitchen. All that 'pretty' plus great storage and speakers in the ceiling. I can totally see friends and family doin' a little cookin' and drinkin' whilst groovin' to some good tunes. Have a happy weekend:)

  4. MB, you don't miss a thing; how in earth did you spot the speakers?! (Those round mirrors are perfect, right?) I agree, it's a gorgeous kitchen - I adore the colour.

Thanks for the visit, have a lovely weekend.
