hallways that take you places

There's something to love about each and every space and I would be very happy living with any of these, although, 1 and 4 are my personal favourites. Which one of the above could you lived with?

p.s. I have no record of where these images comes from (I know, I'm sorry) but, if any are yours, or you know where they came from, please do let me know and I'll pop in a link. Thanks.

  1. Four and seven. Lose the runner in number two and maybe that one too:-)

  2. Ha, you know, you're right - the runner is too much (as is that console table), but I admire their colour work. Impressive. You really do have thing for black & white, don't you, Carole?

  3. Actually like n.1 but without the console table. Is that faux stone? Love the Chinese letterboxes. I have tones of pics of them from our trips to China. Just so cute!

  4. I don't know what it is, but I'd hazard a guess and say it was little pieces of MDF or wood glued together and painted. It would look so much better, darker or, perhaps had the console been made out of solid walnut and oiled up, that would have been gorgeous. I love the colours and, of course, the bicycle. I didn't know they were Chinese letterboxes, thanks for the info.

  5. I am digging that slight peek of the damask wall paper... and that light blue door. Love it! Hope you're having a GREAT week, Heather! ;)

  6. I love the blue 'stable door', too - cute styling.

Now, sorry to be a geek about this, but Carole, I've been thinking about the runner in No. 2 and I think I like it. It leads the eye directly to the Red/Fuchsia pink door and I think the room would miss it if it went. Yeah, I really do.
