I love these all for very different reasons, but mostly because the details are authentic, the colours hard working and the spaces full of character - just how I like my interiors... If you could personalise what you love most about your home, what would it be?

This is real, construction-grade concrete. The fibers can transmit light up to 50 feet, and because they take up only a small portion of the block, they do not affect the structural integrity of the building material.

It is not totally transparent, but the optical fibres embedded within it allow the concrete to transmit sufficient light to allow for some interesting and practical applications. 

Now, which client of mine is going to be receptive to this one...

Lanvin Collections: Womens Autumn Winter 2010

Just a super quick post today: I'm crazy in love with French fashion house, Lanvin's Fall/Winter season colour palettes. There's so much here to inspire the most beautiful of interior spaces and that is exactly what I'll be doing with this smorgasboard of inspiration. The subtle layering of colours is sublime!


Right, I'm off to a talk with esteemed interior designer Naomi Cleaver at the Design Museum but I'm leaving a little earlier so that I have time to see the John Pawson exhibition - I've been anticipating this for days! (Mydeco were running a competition to win a pair of  tickets (and God knows I love a challenge); as it happens my question was the Winning Question and so, tonight, Naomi will be answering it to the audience. (Feel free to bask in my glory...) 


Of course, I'll let you know what the winning question was and how she responded when I get back later this evening. If you had the chance, what would you ask her?

I love playing with warm and cool tones as it's a great way to differentiate open-plan areas whilst using the same base colour: F&B's Cornforth White in this case

This sofa is from John Lewis - they have definitely stepped up their game. Personal delight: at last, I get to use the colour yellow in a project and the Australian client loves it. Success!

Oh, how I have missed this blog... It pains me to see how much time has passed since my last post. I've been itching to share things with you, it's just that I am really busy at the moment and any good blogger out there knows that posting can take around 1-2 hours, and so I've stayed away. 

This is a super quick post to share with you a few snap shots of one of the projects I'm completing this week. These are not the professional shots, for those, plus more, you'll have to wait for the new website - it's coming! I have to admit to feeling a little nervous about posting these, there's nothing more daunting than peer review, so review away! I'd be delighted to get your feedback. What do you think?
